4. An explanation of what an employer will do if violence does occur in the workplace.

5. A description of the costs of workplace violence, not just direct financial costs but also those associated with its psychological impact on employees and the negative publicity an incident of workplace violence generates. Lawsuits to which workplace violence exposes the organization and its managers are discussed.

6. An outline of prevention strategies and examines the role of a manager or supervisor in violence prevention.
