Joe Gorup, CEO & Co-Founder

Joseph D. Gorup is CTO and founder of CourseAvenue, Inc. After establishing a successful corporate learning services consulting firm, the need to enable e-Learning development across a global enterprise became apparent and led to the founding of CourseAvenue, Inc. Mr. Gorup's background includes extensive experience in large-scale application development in markets ranging from aerospace, to pharmaceutical, to Internet domain name management. Joe graduated in 1988 with a B.S. in Systems Analysis from Miami University (Oxford OH ).

Jeff Groch, COO & Co-Founder

Mr. Groch is COO of CourseAvenue, Inc. Mr. Groch's background includes extensive sales, product management, and operational experience with leading technology companies including WebVision, CompuWare, Uniface, Computer Associates and Pansophic Systems. Mr. Groch holds degrees in business administration and economics from Lewis University.

Jeff Ford, Chief Software Architect

Mr. Ford is the original system architect of CourseAvenue – the first completely web-based “team authoring” environment available on the market. Jeff’s background is based on large-scale software architecture and development.  His projects include web-based benefits enrollment systems, intranet and extranet applications for large volume fuel purchasing, an online certification tracking system, and a web-based performance management system. Jeff continues to apply his knowledge from these experiences in all facets of software development providing a solid programmatic foundation to the continued development of CourseAvenue.  He graduated in 1997 with a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Iowa.

Ruben Muruato, VP Business Development

Mr. Muruato heads up sales and client enablement services for CourseAvenue.  Mr. Muruato’s background includes extensive sales and sales management positions with leading technology companies including Silvon Software, SAS, Plateau Systems, Fourth Shift (SoftBrands) and Triad Systems (Activant Solutions).  He earned a BSEET from DeVry in Chicago, Illinois.
